Graduate Division offers a variety of certificate programs, read below to learn more about each and when they are offered. You can search UCI Graduate Division Certificate Programs on google for the list or click this link here.
You can sign up for a program by filling out the interest form on the program’s website. Certificate Program Interest Form openings will also be sent via the Graduate and Postdoctoral Scholar Resource Center (GPSRC) weekly emails so keep an eye out. Certificates will be emailed to you once you have fully completed the program requirements.

Mentoring Excellence Program (MEP) |
The Mentoring Excellence Program (MEP) is a 5-week certificate program for graduate students and postdoctoral scholars to enhance their mentoring skills and learn how to build stronger connections with their mentees. MEP provides participants with the necessary tools and insights to become effective mentors and foster respectful and mutually beneficial mentor-mentee relationships. You can sign up for this program by filling out the interest form on the website. Participants must attend all sessions to receive the certificate. |

Preparing for Faculty Careers |
The Preparing for a Faculty Career seminar and certificate series is designed to give graduate students and postdoctoral scholars who are either applying for faculty jobs or expect to do so in the next 1-2 years, insight into the academic job search process, the nature of faculty positions at different sorts of institutions, and how to successfully navigate the transition into a faculty career. There are two ways to participate: 1.) Participate in the certificate cohort, this option requires you to attend all 6 sessions and participate in peer editing. 2.) Attend individual 50-minute seminars by RSVPing on our website. This option does not offer peer editing and does not receive a certificate. You can sign up for this program by filling out the interest form on the website. Participants who want to receive a certificate must enroll in the cohort and are expected to attend all sessions and bring in drafts of materials to participate in peer editing in assigned groups |

Activate to Captivate |
Activate to Captivate is an interactive 8-week public speaking certificate program for graduate students and postdoctoral scholars that focuses on content creation and effective delivery techniques. Participants will learn how to overcome nerves, distill their research into an engaging pitch, and learn the vocal techniques to captivate their audience. You can find Activate to Captivate on our UCI Certificate Programs website under “Public Speaking.” You can sign up for this program by filling out the interest form on the website. Participants must attend all classes to receive the certificate of completion. |

Improv for Teaching |
Improv for Teaching is a 4-week certificate program for graduate students and postdoctoral scholars designed to give participants the tools to help them lead a dynamic and engaging classroom! You can sign up for this program by filling out the interest form on the website. Participants must attend all classes to receive the certificate of completion. |

Emotional Intelligence |
The Emotional Intelligence 6-week program for graduate students and postdoctoral scholars designed to help participants learn, practice, and apply social and emotional skills in their personal, academic, and career contexts. Participants will learn the art and science behind emotions: from what research tells us about emotions, to how to stand out in job interviews, to how to harness their emotions for purpose and resilience. You can sign up for this program by filling out the interest form on the website. Participants must attend all Zoom sessions to receive the certificate of completion. |
